I bought a Miltex 66-652 locking pliers 40 years ago, and it is a precision instrument. I still have it and it's as good as the day I bought it. I bought new Miltex66-652 this past week. In my opinion, he attention to detail is lacking. In the new instrument, the alignment pin is too long and pokes my thumb when I squeeze the tweezers to lock. It makes me not want to use the tool. This would be annoying in a cheap instrument. Considering the premium price I paid for this tool, it is unforgivable. I'm very disappointed. For the price of this tool, I expect perfection, and anything short of that only gets 1 star.
