Miltex Crile-Wood Quick Release Needle Holder, 9" (23 cm), Serrated Jaws, Tungsten Carbide, Carb-N-Sert Jaws, 4,000 Teeth per Square Inch. MPN: 8-753TC
Miltex Crile-Wood quick release needle holder, 9 in (23 cm) overall, serrated jaws. Listed in the Miltex Surgical Instruments Catalog under Carb-N-Sert Needle Holders (p. 130). Carb-N-Sert jaws are tungsten carbide bonded to a stainless steel needle holder. This model has 4,000 teeth per square inch. Miltex sets the teeth from 2,600 to 16,000 per square inch according to the size of the instrument and the sizes of needles and sutures. The jaw edge is chamfered to prevent accidental cutting of the suture. The box lock edges have non-catch bevels. Gold-plated ring handles identify the tungsten carbide instrument. Extended service life; resists the "metal-on-metal" wear of standard stainless steel patterns. The offset quick-release ratchet is also suitable for left-handed users. Cold or chemical sterilization is not recommended for tungsten carbide instruments.
